PRAYER CHAIN POLICIES UTILIZED BY OUR CHURCH:  In an effort to honor your privacy while exercising the privilege of praying for one another, our church has implemented Prayer Chain Policies. These policies are designed to protect any confidential information associated with prayer requests.  The following Prayer Chain Policies are intended to honor the privacy of individuals while exercising the privilege of praying for one another:
bulletWhen members or attendees of First Evangelical Free Church request prayer for themselves or any members of their household, the person requesting prayer may provide whatever details they think appropriate as a part of that prayer request.  The person accepting the prayer request should confirm that all of the information provided may be published with the prayer request.  For example, the person receiving the request should ask, “Is it all right if I put that information on the prayer chain?” Once confirmed, the information may be disseminated to groups who are meeting to pray and to prayer chains such as the email prayer chain.

When prayer is requested for someone who is not the person making the request nor a member of the household of that person, only the first name of the person for whom prayer is requested and a general one or two word indication of the nature of the prayer need may be disseminated. Examples of categories of prayer that may be indicated are “health concerns” and “employment”.   Adopted by the Church Council 8/15/06
