These are required guidelines for all groups wanting to meet in the sanctuary. For guidelines on the use of other rooms please contact the pastoral staff.
- You must notify the staff, at least one week in advance, that you would like to use the sanctuary or other spaces in the church. Rooms must be scheduled through the church office and prepped for your use.
- Under the governor's current executive order, our sanctuary attendance is limited to 50 people. The best way to ensure that you do not exceed the maximum number allowed, is to require registration like we do for Sunday morning. Registration is also important so we know who was at the event in case someone gets sick and the county requires us to do contact tracing. (JoAnna can set up an event registration and post the link on our website).
- Everyone must wear masks at all times unless speaking from the platform. The entire state is now under an executive order requiring masks in all indoor public spaces.
- In order to meet the 6 foot physical distancing requirements, all families must sit at least 2 chairs apart in the same row. The extra space between each chair is intentional. The chairs should not be pushed together.
- People cannot congregate in the foyer, halls, gym, or anywhere else in the building before or after the event. (Instruct people to enter the building and go immediately to the sanctuary and find a seat. When the event is over they should be dismissed by rows beginning at the back row and leave the building without congregating).
- All doors into the church and sanctuary must be propped open and remain open before, during, and after the event so people do not have to touch door handles in order to enter and exit.
- You can not pass out papers, flyers, brochures, or other types of handouts. This is to avoid transmitting the virus on these types of surfaces.
- Groups using the sanctuary cannot rearrange the chairs. They are set up in compliance with the guidelines we must follow for all indoor events.
- No food or beverage may be served or provided.
- People should not greet one another with handshakes or hugs. Six foot distancing must be encouraged at all times.
- Tell everyone in advance that if they are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID on the day of the event, they must stay home. Symptoms include cough, fever, chills, body aches, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, vomiting, and fatigue.
