Athens Adventures Coming This Summer!
As we begin planning, for this summer experience, mark your calendars for Wednesdays evenings from 6-8pm beginning June 9-July 7. We want to invite you to be a part of this experience for the whole church and our community! We plan to host the program on the new property (weather permitting). We will need a set up and tear down team each week. Do you have an interest in crafts, music, math, history, and more? We need marketplace shopkeepers to fill these roles. Do you enjoy connecting with families? You would make a great Oikos (small group leader)! Families who register will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win a year’s membership to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! We hope you can join us for Athens Adventures!!!

You and First Free both may benefit if you donate real estate during the Above and Beyond campaign
Have you considered donating a home, rental property, vacant lot, or commercial property as part of your pledge for the Above and Beyond capital campaign? There are several ways you can do this which would accomplish your personal purposes for the land while at the same time allowing it to be counted as a resource for the construction of our new facility. In addition, there may be certain tax benefits to you. If you would like to know more about your options for donating real property, please contact John Sledgianowski through the church office.

Outdoor Worship is Coming Soon!
Spring has arrived and summer is on the way! That means it won't be long until we are holding outdoor worship services on our new property again! We will be watching the weather closely for the best time to move outdoors.

Navajo Missions Trip
2020 was a hard year on everyone! As you know we were not able to make it to the Navajo Reservation
which would have been our 8 th year going. 2020 was especially hard on the Navajo nation – as many
have been greatly impacted by COVID-19 and the reservation has been closed to outsiders since the
pandemic got started. Many of our friends and family members of the friends we have made have
succumb to the virus. The reservation has been a place of great spiritual battles and have been in great
need of Christ love. Since we have been going, we have seen many turn to Christ and changes
happening based on the relationships we have built. Now they are in dire need to see Christ’s love to
help see hope instead of despair through this difficult time.
We are hoping to return this year to spread the gospel and bring hope to hurting people. We will not
know until mid to late April if they will open the reservation, but I need to get an Idea of who would be
wanting to go so I know how to plan in case we must limit how many can go.
The dates we are planning for are June 14-19. This year will obviously look a little different than in years
past. Cost is not known yet but will most likely be in the range of $500 per person to pay for
transportation, meals, and building material cost.
There will be an informational meeting late April depending on the direction of the reservation.
But if you are interested please contact Brett Iverson either by email or phone just to express your
interest. Please Brett Iverson know if you are interested – numbers will also effect the cost.

Ramsey Plus and Financial Peace Class
Did you know that we have a church subscription to Ramsey Plus that anyone in our church family can access for free? See the letter below from Becky J., our Ramsey Plus Coordinator. Greetings!
We are excited to tell you about a new resource for our church. Our church through the generosity of a few anonymous donors has invested in a Ramsey+ site license for our church family.
For the past 25 years, Financial Peace University (FPU) has taught God’s and grandma’s ways of handling money. Millions of people have taken the class and seen the life-changing benefits that come from learning the truth about money. Now, Ramsey+ is taking the same principles from FPU and helping people create lasting money habits.
So, what exactly is Ramsey+, and how is it different from FPU?
FPU is taught in a nine-lesson class. Members come together as a group to watch video lessons and talk through discussion questions. After the class is over, graduates are responsible for continuing their financial journey on their own.
Ramsey+, on the other hand, walks with people throughout their entire financial journey. Ramsey+ still includes FPU, but the team over at Ramsey Solutions is constantly adding more resources to help people continue to win with money. They’ve rolled all of their content, tools and resources into one all-access membership that helps people lead a life of financial peace.
With additional courses like Jump Start, Smart Money Smart Kids, Legacy Journey, Know Yourself-Know your Money and Budgeting That Actually Works, people in every walk of life will have access to financial education customized for exactly where they are on their money journey. Using the EveryDollar app, people can create budgeting habits that help them take control of their money every month. And with the new BabySteps app, they can track their progress and see how quickly they can reach their goals. All of these great tools are included with Ramsey+.
If we can get groups of a minimum of 4 members of the congregation, we will host the Smart Money-Smart Kids, FPU or Legacy Journey classes (in person or by way of zoom) for families who want to learn together, have accountability, and create lasting change with new money habits. The better news is, every family has access to their own Ramsey+ account right now. That way, no matter if you take the classes or not, you still get access to the plan and tools to succeed with your money.
To activate your membership, go to 1freechurch.org > resources > Ramsey+ and you will see the link. Or, just click here.
If you have questions, ask Becky J. here
We’re excited for what Ramsey+ means for our congregation. This will be a season of learning how to live and give the way God wants us to.
Sincerely,
Becky J.
